William C Lockhart

William C. Lockhart, 88 of La Crescent, MN. died on Wednesday, May 16th at the Golden Living Care Center in La Crescent. He was born in Detroit, MI. on August 14, 1923 and was raised by his adoptive mother Martha S. Lockhart. Bill had proudly served his country during World War Two in both the Army and the Navy.

He is survived by his loving partner Jean Henderson of La Crescent and her children Shirley (Mike) Johnson, Dennis (Joyce) Henderson, Colleen (Daniel) Pedretti, Mark (Brenda) Henderson, Mary (Bert) Larsen, twenty grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren all of whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother Martha.

A celebration of Bills life will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Bill Grant Community Center in Dakota, MN. Military honors will be provided by the Gittens Leidel American Legion Post 595 La Crescent. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crescent is assisting the family.
