Vernon R. Bina

Vernon R. Bina, 94, of La Crosse, died on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center.
He was born on November 8, 1920, in Dutch Creek, rural La Crosse County, to Thomas and Edna (Hanson) Bina. Vernon farmed on the family farm his entire life with his father and brother, Robert. Throughout his life, Vernon enjoyed time spent with family and, in his later years, especially enjoyed playing cards and checkers with his nephew and best friend, Dave Weis.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Irvin; two sisters, Helen Weis and Viola Halverson. He is survived by four nephews and one niece and their families, David A. (Teresa) Weis, Tom (Karen) Weis, Charles (Theresa) Bina, Edward (Mary) Bina, and Diane (Maynard) Hovden.
Private family services will be held and Vernon will be buried next to his parents and his brother, Robert, in Oak Grove Cemetery.
