Aaron C. Fewell

Aaron C. Fewell, 61 of La Crosse passed away October 14, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Aaron was born August 13, 1964 to Carl and Dixie Fewell in La Crosse. He grew up on the Northside and graduated from Logan High School. Aaron met Xue through Xue’s sister, Pao, who was also his neighbor. Aaron planned a visit to Laos in 2012 and then Xue came to La Crosse in 2013. Aaron married Xue on September 27, 2013 and they had two daughters.

He worked for Apria Health and recently retired from driving Head Start School bus in Onalaska. He enjoyed all the little faces that came on his bus and had great conversations. His daughters also enjoyed riding the bus with Dad.

Aaron enjoyed his family life, time outdoors, teaching his love for fishing to his wife and daughters. He was a devoted father taking his daughters to learn Hmong dances to come to know part of their culture. He also enjoyed watching the Packers.

Aaron was kind and helped out anyone who asked and had some of his father’s knack for inventing things with and for his family.

Aaron is survived by his wife Xue of 12 years; daughters Emily and Alisha; mother Dixie Fewell; sisters Dixie Schmidt of La Crescent, Carolyn Simenson of Holmen; sister-in-law Pao Vue (Koua) of La Crosse; and many nieces and nephews.

Aaron was preceded in death by his father Carl; older brother Corwin (Cory); grandparents Carl and Edna Fewell and Vada and Edgar Deyo; and mother-in-law Mai Doua Yang.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 24, 2025 at 12PM at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, La Crosse. Visitation from 11AM-12PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn North Cemetery.
