Alan D. Gamble

Apr 25, 1953 — Oct 21, 2026

Alan Duane Gamble, 73, of Onalaska, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Alan was born on April 25, 1953, to Alvin and Beverly Gamble in Sparta, Wisconsin. After graduating from Sparta High School in 1971, he began his career as an installer for ITT, embarking on a 46-year career in telephony.

In 1968, Al met the love of his life, Lynette. The two were married in 1973 and built a life together, raising their two children, Chad and Krista.

After retiring in 2018, Al enjoyed spending his time golfing, hunting, camping, and traveling. He loved cheering on his favorite teams and, most of all, watching his grandchildren pursue their passions and achieve their goals.

Al is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lynette of Onalaska; children, Chad (Wendy) Gamble of Onalaska, and Krista (Nathan) Fort of Pine City; grandchildren, Zachary, Alexander, Braeden, and Grayson; siblings, Robert (Nancy) Gamble of Sturgeon Bay, and Eunice (Ric) Walcha of Grants Pass, OR.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Beverly Gamble.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Mayo Clinic’s Oncology Department and Agrace Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided. Your dedication and the comfort you

brought to him and his family during this difficult time will never be forgotten.

A private service will be held with immediate family.
