Allen J. Krueger

Allen James Krueger passed away at the age of 94 on October 17, 2026. He was the only child born to Gladys (Sherwin) and Armand Krueger on January 24, 1932 in Black River Falls, WI. They moved to Humbird, WI where he attended school then his junior year, they then moved to Whitehall where he finished his senior year in 1949.

He started working at Trane Co. in La Crosse, WI in 1950. He entered the Air Force in 1951 and served four years during the Korean War. He is a life member of the V.F.W. He returned to Trane Co., retiring in 1994 after 44 years.

Allen enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles in the winter, playing cards. He was an avid walker every day and bowled for many years.

He married Marrietta Zimmerman in 1960. They had two boys, Michael and Mark. Both preceded him in death.

He is survived by his brother-in-law and his wife, Gary and Barb Zimmerman. He is further survived by his nephews, Bob Zimmerman and Jim Zimmerman.

According to Allen’s wishes, services will be at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2720 So. 28th Street, La Crosse on Thursday, October 22, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am at the church. Service to follow at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to his church, Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in his honor.
