Annette Lois Haefs

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Annette Lois Haefs, 84 of La Crescent MN, on November 9, 2025, following a brief battle with cancer. Annie was born on December 8, 1940, to Spencer and Lorenza (nee Kenyon) Reinstra.

Annie married the love of her life, Donald Haefs, on November 19,1963 in La Crosse. Together they built their home in La Crescent where they raised their two sons. They proudly celebrated 55 years of marriage before Don’s passing in April of 2019. They enjoyed many years of houseboating and several fun travel adventures with friends. Her flowers, koi pond and feeding the birds kept her busy, she loved her yard. She also enjoyed a good book and her cats.

Annie is survived by her sons, Michael (Terrie) Haefs and Kenneth (Amy) Haefs. Grandchildren, Matthew (Gina) Stegen , Kelly (Clay) Henderson, Kandis (Issac) Finn and Ryan Haefs. Great grandchildren, Maddox, Roman, Brynnley, Vincent and Dominic, and brother Llewellyn Reinstra, brothers and sisters-in-law, Caroline Zoes, Harley Haefs, Melvis and Cozette Haefs, Chuck and Evelyn Bone also many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Spencer and Lorenza, husband Donald, sister Bertha Irish, 2 brothers, Dewey and Robert Reinstra, Jim Zoes and Carol Haefs.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in La Crescent. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church.
