Ardell L. Dammon

Ardell L. Dammon, 92, a life-long resident of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025 with her loving family at her bedside. She was born in La Crosse on February 4, 1933 to Leon and Lorine Hampton.

Ardell graduated from Aquinas High School in 1950 and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Dammon, in 1952. Together they raised four children and enjoyed life as husband and wife over the next 71 years. Ardell worked several jobs at Trane Company for over 20 years before retiring in 1999.

During her spare time, Ardell enjoyed knitting, playing cards, solving puzzles, and reading. But more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ardell will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and concern for others. We will miss her smile, sense of humor, and unconditional love of family.

Ardell is preceded in death by her husband (Robert), her parents (Leon and Loraine), and three siblings (Lois, Rita, and Robert). She is survived by her four children: Robert (wife Susan), Richard, James (wife Paula), and Carol; seven grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicole, Rachel, Sarah, Megan, Susanna, and Jimmy; and seven great grandchildren: Jack, Max, Lexi, Emma, Nora, Marlow and Ellis.

Ardell will be laid to rest at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park with a private family service.
