Audrey Jeannette Baker

She was born on August 19th, 1934, to Scott & Selma Eno and grew up in La Crosse and Galesville alongside her 2 brothers and sister. She especially cherished family trips to Ettrick to visit her grandparents.

Audrey graduated from Galesville-Ettrick High School in 1952. In 1951, she met the love of her life, Ernest Baker, whom she married on September 5th, 1952 in Aberdeen, MD. During their 60 years of marriage, they built a home in Stevenstown, WI where they raised their 4 children.

Throughout the years, Audrey held several jobs including positions at the old Canning Factories in Galesville and Holmen. She also served as an assistant activities director at Marinuka Manor for 26+ years.

Audrey was a warm and social person who could strike up a conversation with anyone. She stayed active throughout her membership at Lewis Valley Church, as well as Bible study. She loved baking, bingo, traveling, puzzles, crafts, attending car shows with her husband, and, above all, spending time with her grandkids. Later in life, she and her husband also enjoyed wintering in Bullhead City, AZ.

Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Baker; her parents, Scott & Selma Eno; her 2 brothers; and her 1 sister.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Jim) Heim, Sandy (Dan) Haag, Shirley (Ed) Hersh, and Steve (Terri) Baker; her 10 grandchildren; and her 17 great-grandchildren.
