La Crosse

Barbara (Barb) Reedy passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025. She was born in Winona, MN to Alfred and Lillian (Kiekhoefer) Amundson of Arcadia, WI on June 16, 1926. Barb attended Arcadia Public Schools and graduated as salutatorian of her high school class in 1943. After graduation, she worked at the State Bank of Arcadia for several years.

Barbara and Howard Reedy were united in marriage on August 29, 1946. This was after Howard completed his years of Navy service during World War II. They built a home in Arcadia and lived there for 39 years. She loved her role as a wife, mother and homemaker. After that, they made their winter home in Arizona for many years and spent their summers at their home in Onalaska, WI. This was an enjoyable time for them both and they made many lasting friends. Howard passed away in December of 2021.

She loved playing bridge for many years in Arcadia, Arizona and Onalaska. She so enjoyed decorating the homes they lived in and caring for her beloved flower gardens. She also enjoyed playing golf in Arcadia and Arizona. Never very good at it, but always enjoyed fun times with friends.

Barb and Howard were dedicated Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger football fans. Watching those games together, along with Wisconsin basketball and pro golf tournaments was an important and enjoyable time for them both. They visited most of the states, and took trips to Mexico and Hawaii. A highlight of their travels was attending the piano performance of their son David at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

They embraced music and the arts and attended many concerts and competitions. They were both blessed to be together to celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary in 2021.

Barbara is survived by their four children: Lindy Kreibich of Plymouth, MN, three sons: Thomas of Buffalo City, WI, David of La Crosse, WI and Greg of Fountain City, WI. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Joshua (Willow) Kreibich, Dana (Brandon) Lee, Jacob (Amanda) Kuehn, Courtney (Shawn) Stuessy and Kylee Reedy. In addition, she is survived by eight great grandchildren: Brandon Reedy, Ava and Adelyn Lee, Hannah and Oliver Kreibich, Quinn and Claire Kuehn and Charli Stuessy. She is also survived by a dear and special person to her, Kim (Andy) Herold.
