Barbara Ratigan Woolley

Barbara Ratigan Woolley, 74, of Hokah, MN, died on Monday, September 28, 2026 in her home. She was born on October 6, 1951 in Shakopee, MN to Eugene and Esther (Wermerskirchen) Brown. Barbara was a teacher for 35 years throughout Houston County, based out of the La Crescent-Hokah School District.

She is survived by Haley Hernandez and Ivey, Isaiah, Xitlali and great grandbaby #2 due in April, Tracy and Donte Jacobs, Gus, Epifania and Didi, Mitch and Jennifer Ratigan, Mitch, Diane, Ben, Jack, Joe and Luke, and Niki Jenkins, Jac and Ryder, Gustavo Salas.

Her Squad; Sandy and Dave Feuerhelm, Sandra Littlejohn and Terry Lauden. Brothers and Sisters; Betsy Brown Theis, Mary Jane Brown Berens, Dave Brown, Nancy Poole, Kitty Hauer, Bob Brown.

Barbara is now reunited with her son Tim Ratigan, husband Bill Woolley, parents Gene and Esther Brown, sister Joan Krebsbach, Joe Krebsbach and brother Tom Brown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Hokah, MN. Rev. John Parr will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Hokah. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crescent on Friday from 3:00 – 6:00 PM, and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
