Beulah Lorraine (“Toots”) Larson, forever cherished wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, at the age of 100 (1/2) years.
Born Beulah Lorraine Olson on December 22, 1924, to Oscar and Annie (Nedland) Olson in Avalanche, Wisconsin, Beulah later moved and spent the majority of her life in the city of La Crosse, Wisconsin, where together with her devoted husband, Clifford I. Larson, they built and established a loving home. She is survived by one remaining sibling, sister Phyllis Jo Ann Juno of Viroqua, Wisconsin, along with Jo Ann’s children and grandchildren.
Married to Clifford in Viroqua on April 11, 1947, Beulah and Clifford had three children, Larry A. Larson, deceased (Julie), Kristi K. Borne and Karyn Larson Smith (Terry). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nathan R. Larson (Kacie), Heather L. Salhanick (Bill), Sara A. Borne, step-grandson Zackery K. Smith (Natalie), and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mom also had a lifelong passion for music and played multiple instruments, including organ, piano, keyboard, accordion and guitar. Although she read music well, she was amazingly talented and played piano/keyboard, fully by ear, throughout the entirety of her lifetime. She and Dad loved to dance and went any chance they had; Mom’s enthusiasm for dance continued throughout her life.
Her warmth and generous compassion was experienced by everyone she met. Described most often and aptly for her “sweet soul,” her spirit and unique warmth are, and will always be, indescribably missed. She leaves behind a long lifetime of “Beautiful Beulah” memories for friends and a family who was forever gifted by the treasure and legacy she was.
A private, graveside ceremony will be held celebrating the life of Beulah Lorraine (Olson) Larson, 12-22-1924 – 06-29-2025.
