Bobby Alan Last

Bobby Alan Last (lovingly known as Booby), of Sparta, WI, passed away peacefully on November 23rd, 2025 at the age of 34, surrounded by the people who loved him most.

Bobby was born on June 29th, 1991 to Joel Goessl and Wendy (Last) Staff in Manitowoc, WI. He grew up with a vibrant spirit and a kind heart that stayed with him throughout his life. After graduating from West Salem High School in 2009, Bobby went on to build a dedicated career as a cook for 12 years at North Country Steak Buffet and 2 at River Rats, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the easy smile he shared with everyone he met.

To know Bobby was to know warmth, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. He had a rare gift for making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. His life was filled with love, compassion, and determination, and he left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Bobby’s unexpected passing leaves an ache in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by him. We choose not to remember him by the day we lost him, but by the way he lived—with joy, generosity, and a fierce love for those around him.

Bobby is survived and deeply missed by his loving girlfriend, Amber Arenz, his son, Justin Meil, his sisters, Brooklyn Last and Regina Goessl and his brother, Austin Goessl, his dad Joel Goessl, his mom Wendy Staff, and his stepdad Walter (Wally) Staff. His memory will continue to live on through the countless moments of love he shared and the light he brought into the world by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bobby is now in the loving arms of Barbara Wright, Skyla Rugg, Lorraine and Walter Goessl.

May his beautiful spirit rest in peace, and may those who loved him find comfort in knowing he lives on in their hearts forever.

The Celebration of Life will start at 2 pm at the West Salem American legion on February 7th. Please join us with a bandana in your attire. Please no black. Dress with color as Bobby would have chose.
