Carol K. Gittens

Carol Kathryn Gittens, 88, of La Crescent, MN, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, after a short illness.

She was born on March 2, 1938, in La Crosse, WI, to Earl and Ruth (Horihan) Gittens.

She is survived by her son, Kevin (Annette) Gittens; grandchildren, Jimmy (Jill) Gleason, Amanda (Dom) Miller, Taylor (Scott) Caven, and Jordan (Jen) Gittens; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her five sisters.

A visitation will be held at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home in La Crescent, MN, on Monday, June 15, from 10:30 to 12:00, with burial and graveside service following at Crucifixion Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend a thank you to La Crescent Health Services and Gundersen Hospice for their special care.
