Carol Ann Smith (76) of La Crosse, WI passed away on February 20th, 2026 after a rough battle with cancer.
Carol was born on December 10th, 1949 to James & Margaret Ford in Rosendale, WI.
Carol went to Marion College and became a Medical Technician. She spent a number of years as a stay-at-home mom. She returned to work as a grade school librarian at Corpus Christi school in Milwaukee. Later she worked as a paraprofessional at Brown Deer High School working with developmentally disabled students.
Carol married her husband Raymond in 1973 and went on to have three daughters.
After retiring in 2004, Carol spent her time quilting and baking. She was a member of the St. Patrick’s quilting group and scripture group.
Carol was predeceased by Maragret Ford (mother) and James Ford (father).
She is survived by Raymond (husband), Bridget, Jessica, and Kathlyn (daughters), Connor, Maya, Jack, Lars, and Titus. (grandchildren)
