Charles S. Gilbertson

My name is Charles Christiaan S. Gilbertson, 66 years old and born in La Crosse, WI. I lived in order of these places, Winona, MN; Brooksville, FL; Tacoma, WA; Palo Alto CA; New York City, NY; San Jose CA and finally back to La Crosse, WI where I died.

To say that my life has been an adventure is an understatement. A little more than three years spent in just hospitals, suffering from various maladies and the chronic disease of psoriasis, my whole life looking like a leper. Yet through the pain I kept smiling. Alcohol and drugs kept the smile. Some of you will understand.

I must add the importance of being almost 19 years clean and sober due only for the grace of God. My Lord is what has kept me alive longer than expected these days.
