Charles Kenneth Johnson

Charles Kenneth Johnson (93) passed away on September 2nd, 2025 at Creamery Creek Senior Living of Stoddard, WI. He was born on December 24th, 1931 to Morris & Georgina Johnson.

Charlie worked at Trane Co. for 26 years and afterwards kept a part-time job at Kwik Trip. He loved fishing and playing cards. One time when they were younger, he and his brother Duane rented a boat and oars for 50 cents so they could fish the Black River all day together. His love of fish brought him to many Friday Night Fish Fries.

Charlie met his wife Amy while he was working scooping ice cream. Amy’s Dad liked Charlie so much that it led to Charlie & Amy enjoying many dates together. Charlie was well loved by all who knew him and his heart of gold. His heart was filled with love and pride for his wife, kids and grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons Randy and David; brothers Duane and George; his nieces and nephews as well as many grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his wife Amy (Jacobsen) Johnson, daughters Sandra and Carol; siblings Robert, Jerry, Shirley, Betty, Marian and Delores as well as his parents Morris & Georgina Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 13th, 2025, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse, WI. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation the hour prior. Following the service, military honors and burial will be held at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park with a lunch being provided at the funeral home immediately after.
