Darlene "Claudette" J. Roden

Darlene “Claudette” J. Roden, age 88, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Bethany St. Joseph in La Crosse. She was born in Milwaukee on June 18, 1937, to Roy and Doris (Miller) Baker. Claudette graduated from Central High School in 1955 and worked in the production kitchen at the Whitney Dining Center. She married Robert (Bob) Roden on June 13, 1987. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards with friends at the Moose Lodge, where she was a member, and watching the Packers and Cubs games.

Claudette is survived by her son, David Sr. (Sandy) Silbaugh; daughter-in-law, Nancy Silbaugh; sister-in-law, Pat Baker; grandchildren, David Jr. (Jen) Silbaugh, Brandon (Barb) Silbaugh, and Emily Hughes; great-grandchildren, David III, William, Jazabelle, Kian, and Joey. Claudette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Roden; son, Michael Silbaugh; brother, Roger Baker and sister, Alayne Collins. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at 11:00am on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. S., La Crosse, WI 54601. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
