David Lee Trulson, age 74, of New Amsterdam, WI, passed away on May 28, 2026.
Dave was born on July 28, 1951, in Galesburg, IL, to Fred and Mable Trulson. The family moved to Wisconsin in the early 1960’s. He graduated from high school in Holmen and was employed as a laborer (laying track) for Burlington Northern railroad until he retired.
He was a strong man who worked hard his whole life. He made many friends and was a loyal family man. He truly honored his father and mother. Our family is small but very close, and we made many memories. Catfishing, hunting, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and shooting his guns from his collection were his passions, but his love of music (especially classic rock) held his lifelong interest.
Dave and his brother (Dick) went to many concerts throughout the years. He was the first in the family to buy a VCR and CD player when they came out. Recording westerns and MTV music videos was fun for him.
He held a special place in the hearts of his sister-in-law, Kathy (Trulson), and his nieces Charise (Kevin Stuckey) and Krysta (Steve White), and his great nephews Ryan Osmolski and Chad White, and great nieces Kallie Skelnik and Alex Skelnik.
Dave was truly one-of-a-kind individual! His nicknames were Crockett and Phase.
There will be a burial taking place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 at Green Mound Cemetery in Holmen, WI.
