David W. Zahn, 79, of Genoa, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in his home. He was born on April 17, 1938 in Oshkosh, WI to Meilahn and Erna (Miller) Zahn. David had served with the US Navy. He married Myrna Mundsack on October 27, 1962. He had owned Dairyland Building Supply in DeSoto for many years. David enjoyed restoring old 1930’s and 1940’s cars and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Myrna, two sons, Michael and Brian, his mother Erna, and five brothers and sisters, Richard (Belle), Ronald (Joan), Marley (Richard) Kuckhahn, James (Debra), and Christine (Bruce) Heckman. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24 th at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Stoddard. Pastor Paul Kante will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Bad Axe. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of services.Service Schedule
