DeAnne L. Johnson

DeAnne Lynn Johnson, 62, of La Crescent, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at Mayo Clinic in La Crosse, Wisconsin, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 4, 1963, DeAnne was the beloved daughter of Wayne Kern and the late Delores Kern. She devoted her life to being a mother, and nothing brought her more joy than having her children and grandchildren gathered under one roof for Sunday dinners at her home.

She will be remembered most for the love she had for her grandchildren and the devotion she showed to her children. Family was always at the center of her world, and everyone who came into her home was treated like her own. The traditions she created will carry on through those who knew and loved her.

DeAnne is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dan; her children, Taylor Johnson (Cassandra), Danielle Prigge (John), Trenton Johnson, and Tristan Johnson (Haley); her cherished grandchildren, Cameron (11), Jacob (5), Jude (4), Tommy (1), and a granddaughter on the way; her father, Wayne Kern; and her brother, Mike Kern.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Kern; her sister, Sherry Kern; and her mother, Delores Kern.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services in La Crescent, Minnesota. Visitation will take place the same day from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
