Dennis "Snoopy" Strasser

Dennis B. “Snoopy” Strasser, 67, of Stoddard, Wis., passed away suddenly on Friday, May 21, 2021, while working in Manchester, Iowa.

Dennis was born in La Crosse on August 16, 1953, to Bernard R. and Marion J. (Huebner) Strasser.  He worked for the family business, Strasser Bus Service, for many years driving both school buses and coach buses.  He also spent his entire life working on the family farm on Chipmunk Ridge in rural Stoddard.  At the time of his death, Dennis was employed as a delivery driver for Kwik Trip.

In his free time, Dennis enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, but especially the Packers and NASCAR.  He also enjoyed the many good times spent with his friends at Nutbush, where he was the life of the party.  He was a caring uncle, brother, and friend.

He is survived by a brother, Duane Strasser, of Stoddard; nieces and nephew, Michele (Cody) Janzen and their son, Callen, of Westby, Lisa (Ethan) Janzen and their children, Hailee, Elsa and Brooks, of Westby, and Michael (Ashley) Strasser and their son, Maverick, of Viroqua; brother-in-law, Reed Kopecky, of Onalaska; and numerous extended family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Marion; a sister, Debbie Kopecky; and a niece, Melisa Ann Strasser.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 29 ^th , at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. So., La Crosse, followed by a celebration of Dennis’ life at 3:00 p.m. at Nutbush City Limits, 3624 George St., La Crosse.
