Donald Erwin Erdman, 80 of Onalaska/Sparta passed away peacefully at home in the comfort of his companion, Elayne. Donald loved country music; said it was the only kind of music to listen to. He worked as a laborer for sawmills, railroads and farmers. He was really a Jack of all trades. He loved being outdoors, especially in the winter, loved the snow. He enjoyed garage sales, auctions and drives in the country to wherever. He also loved John Deere tractors. He was a lifetime member of WWCMA, (Western Wisconsin Country Music Association).
He is survived by Elayne, has companion/ex-wife of 24 years, give or take. Her children, Tara (Dan) Kellicut of La Crosse and Anthony Welper of Missouri. He also had four children: Susan Marquardt (Michael) and Kathy Tjerstad (Paul) of Black River Falls and Donald O. (Heather) and Patrick (Kari) of Sparta along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife, Lynn, he was preceded in death by his parents; Fred and Margery, brothers: Fred (Janice), Kenneth (Theresa), and a sister Caroline Kibby (Alton) of Muncy, PA.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 11am to 2:30pm at the Onalaska American Legion, 731 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska, WI.
