It is with deep sadness that we share the peaceful passing of our beloved Donna Lind. She was 98 years old.
Donna was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, and her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived her life. She led many people to a personal relationship with their Savior and had a beautiful way of making others feel loved and accepted. She always spoke of others with kindness, never passing judgment. If you knew Donna, please know that you were loved and prayed for. That was simply who she was.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Lind; her daughter, Julie Ann Miller; and her sister, Madelon Genin.
She is survived by her children, John (Tracy) Lind, Mary (Larry) Tobolski, Tom Lind, and Rich Lind; her grandchildren, Mike, Kate, Dan, Tom, Lauren, and Gina; her nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mona Stack, along with many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to her dear friend Shirley and her niece Julia, who faithfully called Donna, prayed with her, and read Scripture to her almost daily. Your love and faithfulness meant so much to her.
We are also deeply grateful to the wonderful team at St. Croix Hospice for caring for Donna and our family with such love and compassion. Thank you to Sharon, Taylor, Nora, Bonnie, Jennifer, and Jeanette.
And a very special thank you to Shawnice. You are an exceptional, kind, and loving caregiver. The tenderness and care you showed our mother will never be forgotten. Mom loved all of you.
To the many kind and compassionate caregivers at Francis House, thank you for the love and care you gave our mother. Rebel, you hold a special place in our hearts, and we will never forget all that you did for her.
While our hearts are heavy, we find peace in knowing that Donna is now home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her life was a beautiful example of faith, kindness, and love, and we are so grateful for the 98 years we were blessed to have her.
