Dorothy E. Erickson

Dorothy Erickson (Cronk), 79, passed away peacefully at the Havenwood Senior Living facility in Onalaska on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026.

Dorothy was born on October 11, 1946, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Warren and Clara Cronk. She was the youngest of fourteen children and cherished the close bonds she shared with her large family throughout her life. Dorothy was a talented seamstress whose skill and creativity were evident in everything she made. While she spent time working as a seamstress, she devoted most of her life to being a loving homemaker. Her faith was the foundation of her life. Dorothy loved the Lord, treasured time with her family, and found great joy in traveling and experiencing new places. Though small in stature, she possessed remarkable strength and resilience, courageously facing health challenges throughout much of her life. She was known for her sharp sense of style and her love of shopping.

Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Carol Hanson of Racine, Mary Briedel of Racine, and Shirley Rhodes of La Crosse; and her brother, Thomas (Barbara) Cronk of La Crosse. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren, and Clara Cronk; her sisters, Charlotte Semlar, Marjorie Mehlum, Beth Treu, Esther Kolbo, Gloria Cronk, and Virginia Treu; and her brothers, Calvin Cronk, James Cronk, and Walter Cronk. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Dorothy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, enduring strength, love of family, and kind heart. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
