Elsie P. Krause

Elsie P. Krause, of La Crosse, passed away on her 84th birthday on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Black River Falls Memorial Hospital. She was born October 22, 1939, in Minnesota to Norman and Catherine (Foster) Starks. She graduated from college in Duluth, Minnesota.

Elsie had worked as a home health aide for many years as well as in other various positions until her retirement. She enjoyed going out to eat, traveling and crafting.

Elsie is survived by her son, William Krause of La Crescent, MN; two sisters, Iris Wojeck of Denver, CO and Ellen Starks of Minnesota; two brothers, Danny Starks of Piedmont, MO and Norman Starks, Jr of Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Tammy Sue; her former husband, William Krause, Jr; two brothers, Archie and Benjamin Starks, along with a sister, Wanda Ellerman.
