Eunice L. Johnson

Eunice L. (Siebrecht) Johnson, 96, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Onalaska Care Center. She was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on October 19, 1929, to Alfred and Marie (Schaffer) Siebrecht. Eunice graduated from Central High School.

On July 21, 1961, Eunice married Lloyd Johnson. Together, they raised two daughters, Lynn and Lisa. She worked with Lloyd at Coulee Region Oil. She also served for many years as treasurer of Onalaska Sunfish Days.

Eunice was a woman of many talents and took great pride in the things she loved. She sang for many years in the church choir at both First Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crosse and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Onalaska. She was a talented knitter and seamstress, creating beautiful sweaters and other handmade items. She also enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, always appreciating the challenge of putting each piece together.

Eunice will be remembered for her strong will, independent spirit, and the lasting impression she made on those who knew and loved her.

Eunice is survived by her daughters, Lynn Johnson and Lisa Johnson; grandchildren, Benjamin, Christopher (Kayla), Abigail (Clinton) Charles, and Nathaniel; and great grandchildren, Camille, Cambell, and Evelyn.

Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd and son-in-law, Gale.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Onalaska, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will be held at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park in La Crosse, WI.
