Florence M. Anderson

Florence Mary Anderson (Demmer), 95, of Brooklet, GA passed away Saturday April 18, 2026. Florence was a loving wife, mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother. Florence was born in Caledonia, Minnesota and grew up in Caledonia and La Crescent, Minnesota as the youngest of six children.

Florence began working for the La Crosse Telephone Company in 1948. Florence married her husband Myron in 1955 and raised two daughters. The family moved to Ankeny, Iowa in 1976 where Florence and Myron operated A & D Trucking. Florence retired from the Ankeny Community School food service program in 2007. In 2022, Florence and Myron moved to Georgia to live with their daughter.

Florence enjoyed playing cards and canasta was her absolute favorite! She also enjoyed bowling, dining out, and playing Chinese Checkers. Florence and Myron were members of a bowling league for many years, and Florence competed in many state tournaments. She also enjoyed playing bingo at the Willow Pond Senior Care Center in Georgia.

Florence is survived by her daughter Kendra Holloway and her husband James of Brooklet, GA; daughter Karen Seibert and her husband Gregg of Edmond Oklahoma; granddaughters Mallory Seibert (Trevor Mays) and Lauren (Joshua) Rumsey and great grandson Calvin Rumsey; her sister-in-law Shirley Kramer; as well as many nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Myron, father, Emil, her mother Lena (Hemmer), sisters Lucille, Violet, Gladys and Lorraine and brother Lawrence.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Crucifixion Church, 423 South Second Street, La Crescent, Minnesota, followed by a Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will follow Mass at Crucifixion Cemetery.
