Gayle "Bud" Worrell Jr.

Gayle "Bud" Worrell Jr., 84, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. He was born July 26, 1941 in Mankato, MN to the late Gayle Worrell Sr. and Mildred Worrell (Drummer). 

Bud graduated from high school in ‘59 from Janesville High School. After beginning his job at Continental Can Company in 1958. He transferred to the new La Crosse location in 1966, where he retired after 43 years in 2001. He had a loving marriage for 62 years and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, boating, and snowmobiling. He enjoyed his family and looked forward to all the holiday gatherings. However, we all knew when it was getting dark out haha. 

Bud is survived by his wife of 62 years, Karen (Senne) Worrell; children, Robb (Erica) Worrell and Patty Worrell; grandchildren, Miranda Cook (Matt), Brandon Stemper (Amber), Nick Worrell (Shelbi), Jade Willette (Shawn), Cheyanne Carpenter, Colton Carpenter (Danny), Weston Willette (Caitlynn), Ryan Worrell, and Dylan Worrell. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Kenneth Worrell and Heidi Beron (Worrell, Kevin). 

A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 7th, 2025 at 1:00pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in La Crescent, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. Luncheon will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall. 

Memorial contributions in Bud's memory may be made to the La Crescent Humane Society.
