On November 9, 2025, Grace Louise Anderson, aged 76, passed away peacefully in Rochester, MN, with her loving family by her side. Born on January 6, 1949, in Caledonia, MN, to Lyle and Marie Klinski, Grace was the eldest of six siblings. She grew up a true country girl, where she relished doing chores and contributing to farm life. In June 1969, she encountered her soulmate, Jordan Anderson, leading to their marriage at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in December of the same year. Grace and Jordan will now celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary together. The couple welcomed two children into their lives: a daughter named Christine and a son named Calvin.
Grace dedicated herself to raising her children within the Houston Community, a place she cherished. Grace always found time for her daily walk in and around town and she took great pleasure in her volunteer activities at Valley View Nursing Home in Houston, where she enjoyed spending her leisure time visiting with residents and escorting them for coffee. Grace was known within her family as an exceptional cook, particularly famous for her macaroni salad, which was a staple at every family gathering. Over the years, she was blessed with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Her interests included western television shows and country music, enjoying artists like Elvis, Molly B, and Johnny Cash, among others. Grace also loved good games of Bingo and Yahtzee. She devoted herself to nurturing her flowers, valued moments spent sharing coffee with friends, and enjoyed engaging conversations, always greeting everyone with a warm smile and a friendly "hello.” Those who had the pleasure of knowing Grace will recall her bright smile, her generous spirit, and her commitment to assisting others. Her influence left a significant imprint on everyone she encountered.
Grace will be greatly missed by her children, Christine (Scott) and Calvin (Jackie), will deeply miss Grace; her grandchildren, Jessica (Jeff), Justin, Caitlin (Jordan), Olivia (Austin), Jordan, Jasmine, and Jada; as well as her great-grandchildren, Darian, Ezra, Everleigh, and a baby boy expected in May 2026. Additionally, she leaves behind her best friend, Mary Coxworth, her brothers Richard (Eunice) and Ron (Sharon), her sister Nancy (Tim), her sister-in-law Deb, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her cat and faithful companion, Missy.
Accompanying her to the gates of heaven were her husband Jordan, her parents, her brothers Randy and Gary, her brother-in-law Richard, her sister-in-law Rozeta, and her beloved Kitty Cuddles. A Memorial Service celebrating Grace’s life is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church located in Houston, MN. There will be a visitation starting at 10:00 AM and continuing until the time of the service.
