James E. Anderson

James E. “Jim” Anderson, 81, of La Crosse, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025. James was born on December 10, 1943, to Marcus and Gladys Anderson in La Crosse. He graduated from Central High school in 1962. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Army reserve 389th Engineers. On July 15, 1967, he married Madeline Neprud, they were together until her passing in 2017. He worked at Machine Products in La Crosse and later a Venture Machine and Tool in Onalaska as a machinist and CNC programmer. In his retirement he enjoyed working on his motorcycles and cars, and most of all spending time with his grandson and great grandkids.

Jim is survived by his son, Erik Anderson of Onalaska, grandson, Jase of La Crosse and Jase’s children, Devin and Madeline; his brothers, Ed Anderson of La Crosse, Don (Joan) of Ft. Meyers Fl. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 49 years, Madeline.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Mormon Coulee Memorial Park in La Crosse.
