Janet Rae Kleinschmidt

Janet Rae Kleinschmidt, 90, of Onalaska, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Onalaska Care Center. She was born on February 13, 1936, in Ellsworth, Wisconsin, to Reuben and Edna (Christensen) Marson. Janet graduated from Aquinas High School in 1954 and married Neil Kleinschmidt in La Crosse on July 31, 1954. She worked in the office at Trane Company for many years.

Janet is survived by her son, Randy (Kate); grandson, Trevor; three sisters, Sandy Post, Rhea (Don) Breidel, and Wanda Clark; and two brothers, Bob and Gary Marson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neil; her son, Terry; two brothers; and four sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Onalaska, with Msgr. Steven Kachel officiating. Burial will follow in the Onalaska City Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
