Julia Lynn Hagen

Julia Lynn Hagen, 64 of La Crosse, passed away peacefully at Emplify by Gundersen at 9:40 pm on Wednesday, June 10 th , from complications related to Myotonic Dystrophy.

Julia was born May 27 th , 1962, to Oscar & Emmeline Hagen of La Crosse. She graduated from La Crosse Central High School and UW-L with a business degree, and furthered her education at the University of Minnesota which led her to an early career in banking. She later returned to La Crosse where she worked in the family business. She married Bob Grunke (Bobby G!) on April 12, 2006 in a beach-side ceremony in Maui, after which they moved to French Island where they lived happily for the remainder of her years.

Julia was an avid skier and reader, she loved watching the Green Bay Packers, and especially enjoyed the summer months being able to sit on her patio overlooking the tranquil waters of the Black River listening to music.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, her sisters Sarah (Pat) Lamke, Karen Nohr, Dianne Kiehl, her uncle Randy Allessi, four nieces, and seven grandnieces. She is proceeded in death by her parents and brother in laws Mike Nohr and George Kiehl.

A visitation / service will be held on Saturday June 27th at Schumacher-Kish Funeral home 200 West Ave. S, La Crosse. Visitation will be held from 11 to 11:30 with a service & luncheon on site to follow. Internment at Oak Grove Cemetery in La Crosse will follow the luncheon. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made out to the Coulee Region Humane Society or English Lutheran Church, La Crosse.
