Kathleen A. Gorsett

Kathleen (Kay) Ann Gorsett, 90, of Onalaska, passed away on March 31st, 2025.

Kay was born on December 15, 1934, to Fred and Mayme Scheelhaase in Anthon, IA.

Kay met Richard (Dick) in Sioux City, IA, and they wed in 1953, going on to have seven children, Mike, Deb, Sue, Rick, Lori, Paula, and infant son Michael.

She graduated from Heelan Catholic High School in 1952. After raising her family, Kay worked at Hallmark in Denver Colorado for 8 years and Hallmark in Onalaska for 19 years.

After retiring from sales, Kay spent her time reading, working on puzzles, playing games, gambling, going for walks, and sitting outside on her swing.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband Dick, infant son Michael, her sister Ceola McGarr, and her parents Fred and Mayme Scheelhaase.

Kay is survived by her children; Mike (Terri) Gorsett of Sparks, NV; Deb (Doug) Painter of Sun City, AZ; Sue (Mark) Freng of Yankton, SD; Rick (Shelly) Gorsett of Onalaska, WI; Lori (Bob) Spreiter of Onalaska, WI; Paula Gorsett of Onalaska, WI; as well as, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
