Leonard Richard Palubicki, III

Leonard Richard Palubicki III, age 55, of La Crescent, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, September 10, 2026.

Leonard was born on January 24, 1971, to Nancy Jo and Leonard Palubicki Jr. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his sense of humor, and his ability to make those around him laugh and smile. Leonard was always cracking jokes and bringing laughter into the room, leaving behind countless memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Leonard enjoyed the simple things in life, especially spending time with his family. He loved playing cribbage, watching movies, and making memories with the people he loved. Some of his favorite memories were spent out on the boat and fishing with his daughter, Lindsey, his sister, Tena, and brother-in-law, Ryan (Hutch). Those days on the water, surrounded by family, will be memories that Lindsey, Tena, and Ryan cherish forever. He enjoyed music and going to live concerts, finding a good deal on a Friday fish fry, and was a talented artist.

A devoted Minnesota Vikings fan, Leonard enjoyed cheering on his team and sharing his love of football with those around him.

Above all, Leonard loved his children deeply. They held a special place in his heart, and he was proud to be their dad.

Leonard is survived by his mother, Nancy Jo Palubicki; his children, Aaron Palubicki, Katelynn (Alexis) Croox, and Lindsey (Jacob Marshall) Palubicki; his grandson, Aven Croox; his siblings, Timothy Palubicki, Julianna (Tom) Rieple, Tena (Ryan) Hutchinson, and Joseph (Dana) Palubicki; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Palubicki Jr.

He was deeply loved and will be missed by his family and friends. His laughter, jokes, and unique personality will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

A celebration of Leonard's life will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wieser Park Pavillion, 1817 County Road 6, La Crescent
