Linda Lou Isler (Hilleshiem) passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the Bluffview Memory Care Center in Holmen, WI. She was born May 15, 1941 in Richland Center WI, the daughter of Lowell and Genevieve Hilleshiem.
Linda had one brother, Randy Hilleshiem. In her early years Linda moved around a lot throughout Wisconsin as her father followed employment in the construction industry and fuel hauling business. Her family eventually settled in La Crosse, WI where she attended Central High School. She graduated from Central High School in 1959 and soon met the love of her life, Thomas Isler. On June 4, 1960 Thomas and Linda were married and would spend the next 66 years devoted to each other.
Linda and Tom raised two children, Susan and David. Linda worked most of her career at McLoone Metal Graphics of La Crosse and held multiple positions and eventually was promoted to Office Manager. While working she obtained her Associates Degree in Business Administration.
Family and friends were always the focus of Linda’s life. Family parties and her love for entertaining were the center of her life. She loved holidays, birthdays, family reunions and any other reason to celebrate. Linda also enjoyed traveling, golfing and bowling.
While Linda and Tom traveled to many places, their trip to Hawaii for their 25th anniversary held a special place in their hearts.
After a successful working career, Linda and Tom retired in 1996 and moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, where they made many friends from church and the golfing community. Linda and Tom traveled to Branson, Missouri many times with friends and family to enjoy Silver Dollar City and the many entertainment opportunities. They lived in Bella Vista for 22 years before returning to Holmen, Wisconsin, where they resided.
Linda is survived by her husband, Thomas; her daughter, Susan (Eric) Dietzman; her grandson, Ryan (Kaitlin) Dietzman; her great grandson, Archer; and her brother, Randy (Mary) Hilleshiem of Sparta.
Linda was preceded in death by her son, David Isler; her father, Lowell “Pat” Hilleshiem, and mother Genevieve “Gen” Hilleshiem.
We want to extend our appreciation to all the people from Bluffview Memory Care and Moments Hospice for all their support and care for Linda.
