Linda Louise Trynowski, age 77, of Dakota, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Linda was born on July 10, 1948, to John McCabe and Geraldine (Witt) McCabe. She grew up in the area she loved and built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and caring for others.

On February 3, 1968, she married the love of her life, James “Jim” Trynowski. Together they shared 58 years of marriage, raising their family and creating countless cherished memories.

Linda began her career as a beautician before returning to school to pursue a career in dietary management. She worked at Onalaska Care Center for more than 20 years, where she was known for her dedication, compassion, and commitment to the residents and staff she served. She retired after a long and rewarding career.

A devoted woman of faith, Linda was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nodine, where she found strength, fellowship, and purpose throughout her life.

Linda will be remembered for her kindness, strength, unwavering love for her family, and the quiet way she cared for those around her.

She found joy in spending time with her family and took great pride in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter grow and thrive. She also loved to read and could often be found in the kitchen cooking or baking for those she loved.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, James “Jim” Trynowski; her daughters, LeeAnn (Philip) Heiden of La Crescent, Minnesota, and Jill (Robert) Cox of Dakota, Minnesota; her daughter-in-law, Pamela Mitchell of New Albin, Iowa; her grandchildren, Matthew (Bailey) Heiden of La Crescent, Minnesota, Andrew (Sabrina) Heiden of La Crescent, Minnesota, and Emma Cox of Dakota, Minnesota; her beloved great-granddaughter, Clare Heiden of La Crescent, Minnesota; her brother-in-law, Gary Trynowski of Dakota, Minnesota; and her nieces and nephews, Shane (Deb) Trynowski of Dakota, Minnesota, Tammy (Scott) Davison of La Crescent, Minnesota, and Troy (Chris) Trynowski of Dakota, Minnesota and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Trynowski; her parents, John and Geraldine McCabe; her parents-in-law, Vaughn and Alice Trynowski and Sister-in-law, Phyllis Trynowski.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nodine, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A luncheon will follow. Burial will be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff at Mayo Clinic Health System and to Winona Area Hospice for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during Linda’s illness. Your kindness and dedication brought comfort not only to Linda, but to her entire family during a difficult time.

Linda’s family is deeply grateful for the prayers, support, and acts of kindness shown by friends, neighbors, and loved ones throughout her journey.
