Mark P. Welch

Mark Welch, 66, of Peterson, MN passed away peacefully at his home on May 16th, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 24 years, Sue; Mark’s stepchildren – Brian (Beth), Sarah (Jonathan), Dorothy (Brandon) plus 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mark was blessed with a very special four-legged buddy, Karma.

Mark was also survived by his siblings, Michele (David) Jopke, Marla (Robert) Burns, Michael (Beth) Welch, Marti (Karen) Welch, Matthew (Marcia) Welch, Maureen (Lou) Pistulka, Mary Welch and Morry (Jill) Welch. Additionally, he is survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

Mark is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jean and Earl Welch, plus his brother, Merle.

Mark was an avid outdoorsman. He thoroughly enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the outdoors with others, especially the youth.

Mark had an abundance of friends everywhere he lived and met new friends wherever he happened to be.

Mark’s family would like to thank the staff from Gundersen Oncology and Moments Hospice.

A celebration of life will be held on June 22nd, 2024, from 1:00-4:00 pm at Wieser Park Pavilion, 1817 County Road 6, La Crescent, MN.
