Mary K. Wing

Mary K. Wing, 76, formerly of La Crosse, died on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Richland Hospital in Richland Center, WI. She was born on July 25, 1949 at St. Anne’s Hospital in La Crosse to Raymond and Katherine (Williams) Hafner. She had worked at King Street Kitchen, Ardies, and Bethany Nursing Homes. Mary was an avid Packers fan and loved to play euchre.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Combs and Ann (Gary) Manthey, one granddaughter, two sisters, Delores Eeg and Rita Miller, three brothers, Robert Hafner, Gerald (Carol) Hafner, and Frank “Butch” Hafner, a sister-in-law Sandy Hafner. She was Aunt to Ken Eeg, Sue Stetter, Maureen Lazers, Janice Miller, Ed Heberlein, Michelle Froude, Jim Heberlein, Karen Bolden, Jean Muehlenkamp. Dany Miller, David Miller, Mary Ruth Jiannacopoules, Mark Hafner, Kevin Hafner, Scott Hafner, Heather Fay, Jenny Oliver, Brian Hafner, Carrie Fuenstein, Christy Hafner and Tom Eeg, and many great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Ruthie Hafner and Patricia (John “Jack”) Heberlein, a brother Tony Hafner, brothers-in-law Harold “Boots” Eeg and Norbert Miller, sisters-in-law Mona Hafner and Judy Hafner, a niece Kathleen Heberlein, and a nephew Mike Hafner.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse.
