Michael C. Asfoor, Jr. aged 83 of La Crosse Wisc. passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center where he was a resident since 2014.
Michael was born on June 12, 1942, the oldest child of Michael C. Asfoor, Sr. and Betty Asfoor with whom he lived with at 1004 Avon St. la Crosse, Wisc. from 1942 to 1953 and moved to 1212 Cass St., La Crosse, Wis from 1954 to 1993. He then lived in his own home at 924 Caledonia St. La Crosse, Wis with his buddy and younger brother Bobby Asfoor from 1994 to 2014. Together they lived a happy and carefree lifestyle as two bachelors.
He attended public schools in La Crosse, Wisc. and worked for his father in their family business M. Asfoor and Sons.
Michael attended St. James the Less Catholic Church where he was baptized and often prayed to God with his rosary in hand.
Michael had a special talent of making everyone who came in contact with him feel at peace. He was eager to listen to anyone and a man of few words. He was a gentleman who always expressed his gratitude to those who helped him. He lived a full and complete life knowing that he was loved up to his last breath.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Betty Asfoor, and his brothers, Marshall, Ronald, and Bobby Asfoor.
He is survived by his brother, Attorney Wayne L. Asfoor, his two sisters Jacqueline Koury and Sharon Singer-Dawidowski, along with 6 nephews and nieces and 5 great nephews and nieces.
A special thanks to the Staff at Bethany St Joseph Care Center, John Dawidowski and to all of his caregivers for their extraordinary care and affection over the past several decades.
Funeral arrangements made by Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave, South, La Crosse, Wisc.
A final private Memorial Service will be held at the La Crosse Catholic Cemetery, Losey Blvd., on June 19, 2026, at 10 AM. Then followed by a luncheon at the Olive Garden, Onalaska, Wisc.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. is appreciated.
