Nancy J. Johnson

Nancy Jane Johnson, 71, of West Salem, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Emplify Health in La Crosse.

Born on April 5, 1954, in La Crosse to Donald and Joyce Johnson of Onalaska, Nancy spent much of her life surrounded by the care of her devoted parents. In her later years, she became a resident of Regent Manor in West Salem, where she was a well-loved member of that community.

Nancy was known for her incredibly gentle nature and her deep love for music. Some of her happiest moments were spent on long car rides with her parents, taking in the scenery and the company of those she loved most.

She is preceded in death by her parents and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her siblings Ronald (Kay) Johonson of Eau Claire, Margot Staats of Onalaska and Steve (Kathy ) Johnson of Holmen and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Regent Manor for their dedicated care and kindness shown to Nancy during her time there.

Private services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Onalaska, WI. Nancy will be laid to rest next to her parents at the Onalaska City Cemetery.
