Patricia A. Schmidt

Patricia A. (Ryder) Schmidt, 78, of Coon Valley, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Eagle Crest South in La Crosse.

Pat was proud to own and operate her own business, Express Printing, for 25 years. She loved to sew, craft, and travel. Some of her favorite memories were traveling the world and trapping with her father, Harold. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Pat was a kind, honest, and thankful person.

Pat is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jerry; her son, Troy Hess (Stephanie Freimark); Jerry’s daughter, Jill (Travis) Sherry; and her grandchildren, Delaney and Morgan Sherry, and Abby, Julia, and Carly Hess and their mother, Janet Stansfield.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place later at Trempealeau Public Cemetery. Pat's memorial service will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
