Paul John Deininger, 83, of French Island, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, January 30, 2026.
Paul was born on May 5, 1942, in Savannah, Illinois, to Johnny and Beulah (Brush) Deininger. On February 9, 1964, he married the love of his life, Shirley (Albrecht) Deininger, in Hanover, Illinois. Together, they shared nearly 62 years of marriage.
In 1971, Paul and Shirley relocated to Wisconsin, where Paul began his career with DuraTech Industries, working as a silk screener until his retirement.
An avid outdoorsman, Paul was a dedicated hunter and proudly never missed an opening day of duck season until his health declined in later years. He also enjoyed golfing, taking “back-road” drives, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Paul will be deeply missed by those who survive him, including his devoted wife, Shirley; his daughter, Desirae Reep; his grandchildren, Timothy Bowden, Jessica (Jon) Turner, Rebekah (Chase) Taylor, Camron Reep, and Mikayla Reep; his great-grandchildren, Aaron, Jaxon, Abigail, Jeremiah, and Cyrus and special family Teresa, Jeff, Benjamin, Donovan, Joseph and Jerrett Netzer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jack Deininger; his sister, Dorothy Frederick; and his son-in-law, Kevin Reep.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Robins Nest Bar and Grill.
