Raymond H. Frentzel

Raymond Frentzel, age 82, of La Crosse, passed away on August 30, 2025 at his home.

Ray was born on February 24, 1943 to Raymond and Helen Frentzel in Milwaukee, WI. After graduating from Waukesha High School South in 1961, Ray went on to receive a BA in Business from UW-Milwaukee.

After graduation, Ray worked for IBM, Xerox, Josten’s and later became a realtor for Prudential Lovejoy.

Ray married Barbara (Graff) Hyke in 1968 and soon after moved to La Crosse, WI, going on to have 2 children, Cindy and Jason. Ray and Barb later divorced but remained good friends.

After retirement, Ray always made time to spend with his old school friends, ‘the Calhoun Cougars’, and with his family and grandchildren. He loved creating riddles and scavenger hunts for the grandchildren’s birthdays and holidays. His family will always remember his quick wit and setting the scene to tell a good joke.

Ray was predeceased by his parents, Ray and Helen. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Scott), Jason (Chelsea), brother Chuck (Gail), grandchildren Cody, Lucas, Peyton and Kaylee, nieces Katie and Emily, nephew Sam and their children.

Per Ray’s request, there will be no services.
