Reginald Matt Heeter

Reginald Matt “Reggie” Heeter, 70, of La Crescent, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2025 while walking at Como Falls in Hokah, MN. He was born on January 10, 1955 in Waukon, Iowa to Glen and Shirley (Von Haden) Heeter. Reggie was fun loving and never missed a chance to tease and laugh with those around him. His playful spirit and warm heart made every moment with him unforgettable.

Reggie worked at Heeter’s Car Care with his brothers for over 40 years. Reggie also held the la Crescent shot put record for 16 years. He raced motocross in Strum, WI in his younger days. He only earned one trophy in his racing career which also included a $500.00 cast for a broken ankle.

He is survived by his longtime friend and companion, Lois Cook, his four brothers, Vaughn (Jane), Randy, Dave (Sara) and Harley, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Shirley, an infant brother and sister, Rodney and Glenna.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crescent. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service. A luncheon will be held after services at Main Street Saloon in Hokah, MN.
