Richard Louis Carrell

Richard Louis Carrell, age 77, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born on December 5, 1948, he was raised by his parents, Ralph and Julia E. Carrell.

In 1969, Richard was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he served in the First Cavalry Division. Following his military service, he married and had three children. Throughout his career as a professional truck driver with Anderson Moving and Storage of La Crosse, he instilled the values of discipline, dedication, and hard work in his family.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Julia E. Carrell. He is survived by his longtime partner, Carolyn Hollowitch; his three children, Loren (Cassie) Carrell, Julie Carrell, and Emily (Greg) Tschumper; and four grandchildren, Kyan Carrell, Samuel Carrell, Nora Carrell, and Frances Tschumper.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the American Legion in Onalaska, Wisconsin.
