Richard J. Jakes

Richard J. “Dick” Jakes, age 78, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Dick is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judith; children, Edward (Tammi), Michael (Kelly), and Kristina (Joey) Krogstad; and grandchildren, Emmit, Danille, Andrew, Austin, Temperance, Julia, Quinn, Aubrey, Ellyana.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Holmen, WI. Mass and visitation date and times are pending and will be announced soon.

Dick’s family would like to give a special thank you to the staffs at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center and Gundersen Health Hospice for the care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Dick's honor to Gundersen Healthy System Hospice or the Franciscan Pilgrimage Programs for Veterans of the Military Pilgrimage at Franciscan Pilgrimage Programs, Inc, P.O. Box 321490, Franklin, WI 53132.
