Richard “Dick” Gail Nimmo, 89, of Trempealeau, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2026, following a brief illness, surrounded by his wife, Gloria Nimmo, and his granddaughter-in-law, Kendra Deschaine. Born on July 4, 1937, Dick lived a long and meaningful life centered on hard work and love for his family.

Dick and Gloria were united in marriage on May 5, 1956, and shared 70 years together. He worked at Norplex for 40 years. Above all, Dick loved his family and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Vingers) Nimmo; his daughter, Linda (Leonard) Deschaine; his son, Robert Nimmo; his grandchildren, Joseph Deschaine, Jacob (Kendra) Deschaine, Krissy Nimmo, and Richard “Ricky” (Alison) Nimmo; and his great-grandchildren, Autumn (Matt) Powell, Cody (Lizzy) Deschaine, Zoie Deschaine, Phineas Deschaine, Paisley Deschaine, Arlo Deschaine, and Kylo Deschaine.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn (Storey) Nimmo; his father, Walter Nimmo; his sister, Judy Nimmo; his brother, Thomas Nimmo; and his son, Richard “Rick” Nimmo.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Josh Wefel of the Trempealeau Police Department for his kindness and support.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 10281 Bluebird Lane, Trempealeau, Wisconsin, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
