Richard A. Steele

Richard A. Steele, 76 of La Crosse, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Gundersen Health System. He was born May 25, 1942 in La Crosse to Donald and Irene (Albitz) Steele. Richard was a United States Navy Veteran. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Richard is survived by two sisters; Alice (Larry) Myhre of La Crosse and Susan Evenson of Viroqua; his son, Richard Steele, Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Riel and Roy Miller; his best friend, Curt Weibel and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Steele; his parents; brothers and sisters, Donald Steele, James Steele, Robert Steele, Leonard Steele, Rose Steele-Riel, Joyce Lowery and Mary Lowery-Miller; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Evenson and a sister-in-law, Diane Steele.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 6 ^th at Horizon Christian Fellowship, 601 St. Andrew Street with Matt Schroeder officiating. Lunch and fellowship will follow the service. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the services.
