Rita Jean Holliday (Grams, Ma): August 6, 1939 - October 8, 2025 - Forever in Our Hearts
Ladies and gentlemen, if you hear the sound of knitting needles clicking away in the great beyond, fear not—it's just Rita Jean Holliday, affectionately known as "Grams" or "Ma," keeping busy in her celestial workshop. Born on August 6, 1939, in the quiet, peaceful farmland of Disco, WI (yes, that's a real place!), Rita has officially set up her eternal sewing circle in the heavens above.
Rita departed this world from La Crosse, WI, leaving behind a legacy stitched together by love, laughter, and an impressive collection of craft supplies. A lifelong Homemaker, Mother, Den Mother, and Grandmother, she excelled in the art of raising children and other small creatures with grace and wit.
When she wasn't corralling kids, Rita could be found with a paintbrush in one hand and a spade in the other, turning her garden into a masterpiece only rivaled by her latest crafts. An active member of the Homemakers Club, she was always ready to swap recipes or share a bit of gossip over a cup of coffee.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Don, dear daughter Amy, grandson Thomas, parents Jerome and Grace, and brother Larry, Grams has now rejoined their celestial family reunion. Those left to cherish her memory include her son Darin, granddaughter Samantha, great-granddaughter Katelyn, and siblings Betty, Chuck, and Mary.
