Ronald David Phillips

Ronald David Phillips, 74 of Mindoro, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. He was born June 19, 1951 in La Crosse to Donald Phillips and Joyce Bundy.

Ron always enjoyed the outdoors, camping in his younger years, fishing, canoeing, and doing yard work and gardening. He also loved going to the La Crosse Speedway Eve of Destruction with his daughter Laurie and two grandsons Joe and Tony. Ron loved to talk about the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR, especially his favorite drivers Dick Trickle and Dale Earnhardt Jr with his son David.

Ron is survived by his wife: Mary Phillips, whom he married on September 12, 1987; children: daughter Laurie (Phillips) Strano and her children Joseph and Mykenna Strano (and great-grandson JJ Strano) and Anthony (Kara Weber) Strano; daughter Tammy (Phillips) and her husband Ronnie Holte and their children and grandchildren; and son David Phillips (Carrie Tylinski) and their children: Michael Tylinski, Michelle Lolii, and Mathew Olson.

Ron is also survived by his step-children: Cheryl (Fred) Andrist, Tracey (Terry) Stanton, and Kelley Isola; step-grandchildren: Dr. Erica (Dr. Marion Kruse) Andrist, Katelyn Andrist, Michael (Sherry Ashby) Stanton, Ryan (Jessica) Stanton, Anne (Nick) Snitker, Dr. Molly (Thomas Halloran) Isola, Depresha Isola, and Alexis Isola; and great-grandchildren: Quinn Cunningham, Harrison and Scarlett Stanton, Violet Snitker, Cormac Halloran, and Rashad Isola; and step-daughter-in-law: Tammi Timm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-son: William Timm Jr.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Mindoro Lutheran Church, W3879 Co Rd DE, Mindoro, WI 54644. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow the service at Farmington Cemetery.
